Canon Pro9000 mk II color matching

Is anyone getting good prints with a Mac and the Canon Pro9000 mk II? I can't get my prints anywhere close to matching my screen colors when printing on my MacBook Pro with NX2, Aperture, Elements, or CS3 using the Canon profiles for the Canon paper (Pro Platinum) that I'm using. I've had to resort to trial and error color adjustments using the printer's own color matching.
