G11 Spare Battery

B& H Photo has a price of $53.95 for the Canon NB-7L Lithium-Ion battery for the G 11. They have the equivalent battery by Pearstone for $29.95. That is a big price difference! Does anyone know if the Pearstone is a viable alternative to Canon?
