Digilux 3 or GF1

Folks,
I have a D-lux 4 and a Canon 5D Mk II and I'm very happy with both. I've been in the situation twice this weekend where I am taking available light indoor photos. First time I used the 5D2, I got great pictures but was petrified the camera would get knocked over by a passing child. Second day I used the Leica which was much more discrete and tunbleproof, but got caught out by high ISO noise.
So I've been looking at a small camera / big sensor solution, and so far I like the Panny GF1 and a used Digilux 3. I'd like to have a pancake lens and the lovely Leica 14-50 lens.
Each has its pro's and cons, but I'm worried about the bulk of the Digilux 3. It's got to be small enough to travel somewhere that I would not take my Canon.
What do you reckon?
