Please Help with D3000 Images
Oct 16, 2009

Hi, I got a Nikon D3000 a couple weeks ago and have noticed some odd effects that in some pictures. I have not seen anything like this in the pictures posted by others.

It's particularly noticeable when there is a lot of green in the picture. Notice the corners seem much darker than the rest of the photo. In some there is a significant brightness gradient from the center to edges.

The soccer photos were shot with the 55mm-200mm AF VR lens, and the lighting was not that good. While the dog pictures were taken with the 18mm-55mm kit lens on a sunny day. I never noticed anything like this with my Canon S5is and frankly I find this unacceptable for a DSLR. Is it the lens, the camera, camera settings, both or something else?

Please have a look and give me your opinions.
