That's not the only advantage of FF. FF also has the advantage of putting more pixels on the scene and rendering more detail. And in the common shooting situations when it can remain at base ISO while still achieving the same DOF, it can render more detail with less noise and more DR.

same dof, same technology, same noise,......irrefutable truth

Only if the shutter speeds also have to be the same, which is not always the case. It is a very common situation to be able to remain at base ISO and get all the DOF you need with a shutter speed that is fast enough to avoid motion blur or camera shake.

throw in a technology advantage only accessible to smaller formats
and they will be in front of FF at the same DoF
thats the future

Predictions are a dime a dozen. The same prognostications were made in regards to Foveon vs Bayer.
