My camera is supposed to be shipped today or tomorrow. A helpful girl checked where I was in the orders and confirmed that I have a camera alotted to me and it should go out very soon. Hmmmm, We will see as Panny has not been reliable on orders. I placed my order last Wed 9/23. As of 12:30PM EST my card is not charged and UPS does not show it.

She also said that any orders placed on Friday or after are probably backordered though. I canceled an Amazon order last Wed when I discovered that they would not have them for a long while.

No they didn't. I called the standard Panny number. I could have been handed BS but the girl spent a while with me. My order is through Panny Direct not Shopatron.
