Why can't S90 faithfully reproduce green foliage?

guess we have to wait for more RAW files to see where the problem is coming from: aggressive noise processing for JPEG output (like H7/9), or simply a bad lens that blurs all fine detail? The relatively bad corners in S90 JPEGs (CA/PF, sharpness etc.) suggest to me that the lens is the major problem - in which case RAW might not make much of a difference.
