Get my 5-yr old D70 fixed or buy a new D90?

Hi,

First of all, thanks to all of you for contributing to this wonderful forum.

My 5-yr old D70 is not working with the notorious Err message. I have 2 options:

1. Send the camera to Nikon and spend around $250 and lose a month to get it fixed. In the end, I will eventually have a working D70 but it's still 5-years old and new problems will be around the corner.

2. Buy a new D90 body for around $900. Sell the D70 for parts and try to get $100 for it. In the end, I would have a brand new and superior D90 with one-year warranty. Of course, I end up spending $900 instead of $250.

So, question is, would you upgrade your non-working D70 for a brand new D90 for $650? ($900-$250-$100 = $650)

Thanks,

Ucan
