Film still rocks... II

I came across this thread a couple of pages back and would like to add my 2 cents...

Digital is capable of making that kind of shot. I used to do star trails with 35mm film, but have found digital to offer so many more benefits that I prefer to use digital for my long exposures now. Like being able to take shorter test shots at high ISO to sort out the framing and composition first before taking the long shot proper is a huge benefit over a film camera where you mightn't be able to see much through the viewfinder at night. Or having total control of the image from start to finish without involving a lab or someone else to process the shots as night shots can throw up some strange colour shifts if someone isn't used to dealing with them.

All of these were single long exposures with my 350D...
