Canon reduces T1i manufacturer's price here in Canada

FYI, Canon Canada has recently dropped the price on the Rebel T1i SLR:

The new price on the Rebel means that the dealers should be dropping their prices this week (if most of them haven't already).

I talked to a salesrep at Vistek earlier in the week and he said that cameras over $1000 are not selling as well as last year taking into account the economy. With the $100 price drop the Rebel T1i should pick up some momentum at around $900 with lens. I wonder if the Rebel XS and XSi will also see a price decrease soon?
