Ridiculous (Sony A380 review)

No, the review wasn't ridiculous but Sony is, given this finding: "Visible blurring of fine detail in JPEGs from ISO 200 upwards" Clean ISO perfomance with preservation of jpeg detail is just about universal these days in DSLRs at least up to ISO 400, and in many compacts, too. What did Sony do, re-engineer its DSLR firmware to degrade jpeg files, thereby maintaining the "integrity" of its product line?

I'm not a Sony user but am simply astonished that any new model DSLR presents such serious image quality problems near base ISO.
