There seem to be different light paths for focusing and the sensor in a DSLR. I had the problem with an OLY I never solved.

In addition there is the problem of glass before the sensor thickness problem in an IR conversion. If you have to live with it, can you determine how far it is out of focus and in which direction by putting markers on the lawn?

Of course a Sigma model is very easy to convert, you can do it yourself.

I and others have posted some IR pictures from the LX3 on the Panasonic Forum. No problem with focus there. Good luck. Thanks for the heads up on that vendor.
