I think you missed my other reply. Upgrading from Vista to Win7 is minor and painless as far as the end-user is concerned. Just insert the DVD and click a few buttons. What is stupid is to pretend that the pain of sticking with XP on a 6 or 7 years old computer for a few extra months is less than getting a shiny new Vista machine now and upgrading to Win7 in a few months. Vista to Win7 does not
a fresh install nor reinstalling any application (except for a couple of pathological ones).
