Which function have you set your "Fn" button for?
Aug 19, 2009

I am curious as to what others have done?

As a new owner of the E520, I have set mine to "test". I miss the live view on my ultrazoom when using the EVF as I could see the histogram, EV, ISO, WB all in the EVF. The "test" feature is sort of half of a solution.

I like the "test" feature because after taking a "test" image (image is taken but not stored) I get a chance to think about my settings before actually recording the image. I want to see the histogram, blinkies, S,A, ISO and focal length before making my final settings and recording the image.

I do realize I can also just take a picture, view the results, and delete if I want. And by doing this, it would free up the Fn button for something else. In which case I can then set the Fn button to some other feature.

I wish there were two Fn buttons!
