Please help! Trouble calibrating NEC 2690WUXi2
Aug 12, 2009

Hi,

I recently purchased an NEC 2690WUXi2 display, and am having trouble calibrating it using the Gretag Macbeth i1 Display 2 that I already owned. The error I receive is: "Error: The color measured appears to be invalid. Please make sure the calibration sensor is properly located on the screen and try again." This always happens when measuring red. I am using an Intel based Macbook Pro 17 inch 2.33 GHZ with OS 10.5.6. The Macbook Pro was purchased in February-ish of 2007. The i1 Display 2 is always exactly lined up with the i1 Display pictured within the Spectraview II software. Thus far I have tried resetting the monitor to factory settings from within the monitor menu, repositioning the i1 Display 2 slightly lower, and logging in as administrator to see if that would help. However, the error keeps popping up.

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated!

Rick
