Epson R1900-------Not Recognizing Ink Cartridges Problem??

Has anyone that has purchased a Brand New (NOT Refurbished) R1900 printer, have any problems with it not recognizing ink cartridges after you put them in???? This was a BIG problem when the printer was first introduced. I was wondering if Epson finally got the problem solved with the newer R1900's or if it's still a problem?? Any info would be appreciated.....Thanks
