When you buy at a local dealer, work to develop a relationship with a salesperson who will know you by name. To do this, spend a fair bit of time up front - shake hands, introduce yourself, be friendly - be easy to deal with.

The benefit you get down the road is huge. When I bought my A700 way back when at henrys I developed such a relationship. After that time whenever I walked in to buy something else, I always always got a better deal without even asking for it.

So it's not just the price of the initial box, but all boxes and bags to follow.
