Deer in summer!
Jul 31, 2009
As time passes my love for nature increases. As a young man I ever notice the fact, that the hair and pelt of the deer changes through the season. (colour Hiar , fur growth) It's the end of July and the pictures I'm posting of a juvenile deer have no hair on their snout. ( I do not recognize this animal) In the fall when I gently harvest this animals, it's thick Haired snout is so different . The blood vessels running up the face of the animal are obviously large feeding the growth of antlers. In two months this will all changes. That antlers will no longer have the felt, and small growth, but hard and brittle antlers for jousting with other like dominant males.
I am like a child seeing nature for the first time.
Apart from my obvious passion of wildlife, please feel free to C.C. the pic!
Pictures taken in the heart of Ontario.
Thank you to all.
