K7 QC test suggestions?

Hi All,

My friend who is a novice photographer just ordered from amazon.com a K7. He was considering D300 but was swayed by the feature list of the K7, especially SR, SD-card, weather-sealing and video mode. He wants me to spend a week to figure out if the unit he's getting has any QC issue, for example, the thin line down the middle some people have seen after some LV or video usage. That's the only one I've read so far, anything else I should be on the look out for?

I currently own a K100D, so I'm expecting the K7 may be a bit overwhelming. Wish me luck
