Digilux 3 as travel camera?

I am off to Hong Kong and western China next week and am wondering if I should pick up a Digilux 3 as a travel camera instead of taking the big D2X I usually carry with me. The Dig3 would go well with the D-Lux 4 I suppose, which is what I usually stuff into my pockets when I'm on the road.

I am just wondering about the Dig3's ruggedness, that's all. I am aware it's not weatherized...or anywhere near the D2X solid build...any experiences folks here may wish to share, very much appreciated. I need to pull the trigger soon-ish.
