You have to wonder whether it is worth bothering.
Jul 7, 2009

There's a very simple and very common fault with E3s, so simple and common even Oly tech support know it. The gold pins in the body sometimes don't have enough spring force behind them to pop out. Symptom is no comms with the lens. Run your fingers round them when it happens. That pushes them in far enough to give the spring the impetus to push them out. Scary and annoying at first, but after a while it is just part of changing the lens and eventually they loosen up and don't do it any more.

It comes up on here regularly.

I explain it regulalrly.

Nobody ever listens, and you get all sorts of ludicrous advice about cleaning the contacts, which then starts an esoteric argument about what you can use to clean contacts.

Moral of the story, don't bother passing on useful advice in here, no bugger is listening. Let's just fight instead.
