Maybe then you don't need a book, but maybe to go out witha friend who's more experienced. Do you use manual mode? Spot or MM?

I think the issue of exposure, in digital, is much linked with that of PP'ing. If you already PP your images, then you may start experimenting with it, with manual and spot metering.
