5. Open shutter speed once one shot up in the air and kept open while a few lit up the skis and let go of the shutter release to manually stop the shutter once I felt I got enough explosions in one picture. I didn't use my remote but probably would've worked better w/ it.

Note - When they had a ton going of in like a waterfall pattern, don't keep it open too long as it will just look like a wall of light...
