70-300 IS USM or 70-300 DO IS USM

Hi,

I am leaving for africa soon and I want one of the above mentioned lenses for Safari.

I just dont know which one to buy.
I can get a used 70-300 DO IS USM for the same price as a new 70-300 IS USM.

I am looking forward to be hearing your experiences.
