New SONY SLR

Hello all.

I currently use a Fujifilm S6500fd bridge camera and I am looking to buy my first dSLR soon.

I decided a while ago I wanted the Sony a350. Mainly due to price vs other makes, Steady Shot built inside, Live view with tilting screen.

I have been reading some of the threads lately and I think I would get the body only and some better quality lenses (Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 for general out and about lens)

I've also read the a700 has come down in price alot.

Would I be better off with a700? What are the better qualites of a700 over a350. I know it has less MP but different sensor. Also does more FPS continuous shooting.

I'm thinking of holding on for a little while too. When the a380 becomes available, I expect the a350 price to drop, making it even more tempting.

Any advice on other lenses appreciated too. I mainly shoot landscapes while walking/hiking. I would like to start more wildlife photography (better zoom lens?) and maybe some portaits.
