NIKON D700 and the Nikon 50mm AF-D f1.4 underexposing...
Jun 2, 2009

Hello all,

I just got my D700 a couple of months ago and it is sweet! Coming from the D2Xs and D80, I have used my venerable 50mm AF-D f1.4. Beautiful bokeh, sharp and bright photos.

But I noticed that it is underexposing on my D700 and have to compensate with the +1 or even +2 on the EV most of the time.

Can anyone please elaborate on the DX to FX and the performance of this lens on the D700? Is there something wrong with my Lens? I have 2 other lenses and they perform flawlessly and even beautifully, namely, SIGMA MACRO DG 24-70mm f2.8 and my old NIKKOR 85mm AI-S f2.0...

All three of these would also perform flawlessly from my sold D2Xs and my D80 (still have this one)

Any tips? Advices?

Thank you in advance.....
