Group of 45 outside...

On short notice I was asked to take an outdoor group portrait at a family reunion this coming Saturday. Number of people is estimated to be 45, and I'm guessing there will be all age groups represented. Location is in someone's backyard that I have never been to; they claim there's a "nice hill to pose people on". Time of day is going to be about 4:00PM central time (Chicago suburbs). The early forecast is for partly sunny skies with a high of 58.

I'm looking for advice on all aspects of the shoot...lighting, posing, best aperture/shutter speed combos, etc.

I'll be using my 1DIIn + 24-70L and will have a 30D + 17-85EFS as backup. I have three 580EX hot-shoe flashes I can use if fill would be useful at all.

Thanks much.

Brian
