Epson R1900 and fine art paper

I just bought the R1900 and I just noticed that if I want to select the velvet fine art or watercolor paper types, the driver asks me to change the source from "Sheet" to "manual roll". Is that normal? Can't the fine art / watercolor papers be feeded in the normal rear sheet slot?
