TZ7 AVCHD videos - best media player?

Hi - I understand that editing possibilities are limited with the AVCHD format.

I'd like however to know if there are any limitations re which media players can show AVCHD videos straight out of the camera ie. downloaded to a PC, unedited. Is a particular media player better than any other i.e. Windows Media Player? or is there a better one out there that anyone would recommend?
