Part 2: Lessor Know Attractions in the Hocking Hills, Ohio
Apr 27, 2009

I made a second trip to the Hocking Hills area of Ohio to visit the lessor know attractions. When I say lessor know I mean it. The prime attractions' parking areas were completely filled to capacity and overflow parking was on the roads. While hiking to my location I saw NOBODY. I was all alone for all these shots and a good 8-10 miles of trails. It was a great day with a clear blue sky and was about 92 degrees F, but I wish it would have been overcast so the light would not have been so harsh. It is a lot easier to get a good image of the sandstone formations with overcast lighting.

I have one more trip to explore tow locations. One location I tried to get to but came upon private property some I'll have to hike in from a different location. The other is a cave/rockshelter I need to check out.

Parachute Rock I

Parachute Rock II

This location is on my list to visit in the peak of Fall Colors season.

Turtle Rock

This is an slump block that oddly looks like a turtle.

Crystal Falls

White Fallls

Buckskin Canyon Falls

Three shots of falls I got. At Crystal Falls there is another falls but I didn't get a good clear image.

Trillium grandiflora

Our state wildflower that was in full bloom while I was there.

Thanks for looking,

Brian

Having and using a camera doesn't make you a photographer, it makes you a camera owner.
