Anyone dismantled a Minolta 35-105?
Apr 17, 2009

My otherwise mint 35-105 has a couple of very light marks on the inside of the first group (light fungus???), or on the front of the group behind. I would like to take the front off and clean it. I have Pete Ganzel's drawings, but am too stupid to make out exactly what to do.

There are three screw on the sides of the fliter barrel. If I remove them will I just be able to remove the whole thing? Will it expose the back of the first group? Does it unscrew on the helicoid or just pull off?

I am nervous about starting to dismantle an otherwise perfect lens without a bit of advice.

I really don't want to dive into the back of the lens as it looks pretty complex. I don't mind having a go at the front if it is easy to do

If I can't work out how to do it I will have to buy a really cheap one on ebay and practice with it!

Has anyone done this cleaning?
