I'm not sure how this would work exactly. If Adobe only activates the software based on the Name of the computer, then you're probably all right, and if they didn't ask for activation on startup of CS4 on the new laptop, you probably don't need to do anything. On the other hand, if you do need to de-activate the old laptop, why not re-start it using the cloned drive as the startup disk, start CS4 and de-activate. Then restart the internal drive. Then go to your new laptopk, start up CS4 and see if it asks you to activate it.

Does anyone know if Adobe is actually taking a complete "footprint" of the computer rather than just a name?
