"Eveready" = NEVEReady

Back in the old film days we used to call "eveready" cases "neveready".

In order to have quick access and prevent the front piece from getting in the way, you need to remove it. The remaining part of the case serves little function, doesn't protect the LCD screen, adds substantially to the bulk, and has to be removed if you need access to the battery or memory card.

I have the "Titanium" colored "eveready" case that come with the "Titanium" version of the camera, in the United States. It stays in the original box. I'm using the brown leather Leica "holster" style slide in case. The magnetic closure allows for very quick removal of the camera, I can use it with the belt loop or the shoulder strap, and the case is quite attractive.

Unless you're using the screw on grip, the slide in case deserves serious consideration. The "eveready" case is quite beautiful but not very functional.
