IR Conversion by life pixel - Deep IR filter

I am having a Canon 30D converted to Deep IR camera by life pixel. Has anyone had this done?

With the Deep IR filter, I believe I will get mono IR images straight out of the camera? But do I set the camera to shoot mono jepgs, or just leave it in standard picture style? Do I have to do anything to the pictures to process them, or can they literally be used from the camera?

Thanks for any help. I do not find the lifepixel web site particularly helpful?!
