Black Rapid Strap + D700 Eyelet + leather jacket = be careful

Hey all, I have a black rapid strap (which I love) and today, had my eyelet on my d700 dissapear. After much searching I managed to find it. The eyepiece has a cover, with a rubber ring and a small piece of glass, making up the outer viewfinder.

It just so happens that walking along, with the camera on the strap, hanging in such a way puts the rubber eyepiece onto my leather jacket - the mode of walking serves to very slowly loosen the eyepiece, until it eventually unscrews and falls off. It's likely to happen given time.

SO, If you have that combination - you might want to occasionally check that the eyepiece is tightened and secured in place.
