Hiring a Wedding photographer

My cousin is getting married (in US) and looking for a photographer. It seems the total cost for an album of 60 pictures is close to $9000. I have no clue about the price here. Can someone suggest a cheaper way (if any) to get high quality wedding album? Or is it normal price?
