New name for DSLR's?

I came across this interesting tidbit in EPN (an electronics industry trade journal) :

"The Austrian military display specialist, LIRPA m.b.H, have announced the completion of their new production facility in Poznan, Poland. Although the plant will produce a small quantity of their existing products, the primary focus is large scale production of high quality electronic viewfinders for up market digital cameras. LIRPA say they have contracts with 3 major DSLR camera manufacturers all of which plan to replace the majority of their optical viewfinder DSLR cameras with electronic viewfinder models over the next two years."

There seems to be some discussion on these forums as to whether the Panasonic G1 should be referred to as a DSLR or not. So what happens when the majority of the current DSLR range become electronic viewfinder cameras?
