Corruption/Failure of CF Cards... has it happened to you?

Fortunately for me I haven't experienced any corruption or failure of data on my CF Cards (some Sandisk, some RiData). I have seen issues on some lesser known brands (simpletech) that i use on an old 4mp canon point & shoot.

What have you experienced? Have you ever lost images due to this or known someone that had issues? I'm just wondering how big an issue this is for others.
