I didn't realize LX3 is junk untill I went to Canon Forum

"really, really wish Panasonic would finally get their IQ act together since they build such innovative, feature-rich cameras. But this last batch isn't much better than the last batch. The LX3 has a decent sensor and takes it a bit easier on the smearing of low-contrast detail, but it still has lousy color, contrast and sharpening from the in-camera JPEG engine.

They're fine for people who don't push their cameras hard, process their images, or demand the most from their little cameras. I recommend them to friends who are in those categories. I'm not, and I would guess most people who frequent these fora are not as well.
