In-body VR/IS

Excelllent high ISO performance. May require lower res eg 6MP (enough for A3 printing). Maybe as low as 4MP, if required for high ISO and headroom.

Quality wideangle zoom starting at 20mm eg 20-80mm equiv - useful in 90% of situations

High quality movie mode. 1080p @ 30fps or above. Multichannel sound inputs.
Movie move supporting zoom, VR/IS, etc. Able to be controlled remotely.

Timelapse, remote control, PC control, etc

RAW + JPEG images

hi-res LCD

Waterproof (or splash resistant)

All this seems feasible with today's technology.

Then I wouldn't have to lug my 300D/70-200 f2.8, 11-16mm zoom around all the time!
