Starbursts - always fake?
Mar 13, 2009

Hi,
I just read an article on the German Spiegel - they occasionally have things about photography, usually at a fairly amateur level (to promote some publication) This one suggests that the starburst effect only occurs if either lens, subject, or light, is moving. Therefore, if you see it in a photo, it apparently always will be fake (either special filter or electronically) http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/tech/0,1518,612914-6,00.html
The starburst effect on my submission to 'simplicity' is real - no PP, no special lens - and nothing moved:
Any more example of real starburst?
