1st time team photo
Mar 11, 2009

Tomorrow night is the black tie annual dinner for my badminton team at uni. I am going to take a (hopefully) decent photo of the team. Having not actually done this type of photography before I was wondering if there was anything important I need to know / advice. I will only get 1 or 2 chances so I need to get it right.

I will be using my 450D and 18-55 kit lens on a tripod (IS off). There will only be about 10 people so this lens should be wide enough. The photograph will be indoors with standard tungsten lighting of an average room. I do not own a flashgun so will use the flash on the 450D body. I willl be in the photo as well so will set up the camera and either use the timer or get someone else to press the shutter.

I would be grateful for any advice from people who are experienced in this kind of photography.
