Photographing a moving object
Mar 8, 2009

...and I mean a fast moving object. A pair of hawks have taken up residence in the forest behind my house and occasionally they'll fly right by my deck. I think they are patrolling my bird feeder.
I have a d60. My other cameras were all P&S and to take a picture of something moving fast like a bird I'd set it to "infinity" and just click away. The d60 either does not have an "infinity" setting or else it's hidden away in some menu. I suppose I could just turn the AF button to off and manually set the focus to infinity.
Does anyone on this forum have any advice on capturing a bird in flight?
