What picture style is good for my new 450D?

Hi,

Just bought 450D. Purpose is to back up my 1Dmk2. Crazy you say but I'm letting my 3 kids age from 9 to 15 to use the 450D. I'm trying to get them into DSLR thing.

However, Jpeg straight out the camera is reddish skin tone. I'm still playing with the jpeg setting. I shoot RAW all the time but wishing my kids will get a good photo of their old man with correct skin tone.....

So far I've tried Sharpness +2, Contrast +1, Saturation +1 and Color Tone 0... still not up to my satisfaction. Maybe I will try negative Color tone later tonight....

1st question: What is other user setting when you shooting jpeg?

2nd question: How long is 450D expected life cycle? 50,000 clicks?

I'm impressed with this little camera... even though it is not a 1D, seems like it got everything....
