Press Printed Wedding Books
Feb 27, 2009
|
I am researching press printed books for budget weddings and as mother of the bride books. My target is a 10x10 book, hinged (lay-flat) luster/pearl paper, custom photo cover. At this point the top three candidates are: Black River Imaging, Miller's Lab, and WHCC. These are all in the same price category, so pricing isn't an issue.
The priorities are: top quality print, elegance in design, and quality workmanship (I know, that's a lot to ask for a budget product). The expectation for print quality is like a high grade coffee table book (very near photo quality).
For a reference point, I have used Blurb books for other projects, and I find them inadequate for a wedding book in terms of print quality, look/feel, and workmanship.
From photos and comments, it appears that Black River might be offering the better book, but I cannot be certain. Miller's offers web viewing/approval, which is a big plus. They also offer low-cost slide-show DVDs.
Can anyone comment on reasons to choose one over the other given my priorities?
