QR platform for Giottos MH-1000

Sorry for OT question but my ballhead is for D700

I have a Giottos MH-1000 with 22lb load capacity for my D700 + 70-200 f2.8. It came with MH200 QR platform with circular plate, which is screwed on top of the ballhead. Here is a picture of the QR platform:

Although MH-1000 is sturdy enough for my equipment, the surface area of the MH200 plate is so small that it doesn't create enough friction to hold D700 + 70-200 f2.8 when shooting on vertical position. It just slips when I use a big lens. I am considering rectangular Giottos MH-652 QR platform but it still seems small.

1) Do you have any QR platform recommendation from Giottos?

2) Is it possible to mount QR platforms from other brands (Kirk, Manfrotto, Gitzo etc) on top of MH-1000?
