Pano of Piazza Pio II, in Pienza, Tuscany. need advice...C+C welcome

Hello,
I did this 5x10 pano in Pienza, Tuscany with a Canon 40D, Canon 50mm 1:1,4 f8,0 at 1/50 sec. ISO 200 with tripod and Pano Head, stitched with CS3. Now I am a bit confused concerning the distorted lines in the pano, never had that before, did I miss something. Explanation, C+C highly welcome.
