XSi deal - too good to be true?
Feb 13, 2009

When that question is posed the answer is almost always "if it looks too good to be true, then it is too good to be true" but here I am getting an opinion from the forum. A party is selling the Canon XSi "used" saying they bought it a month ago and haven't used it because they bought the wrong camera. It is all new in the box and comes with the kit Canon lenses 18-55IS and 55-250IS. I am thinking it may have been a gift and the person would rather have the $$$$. I am reluctant to spend $600+ for a camera that may have no guarantees. The seller says the factory guarantee is in the box. This is the camera I may eventually buy but I am reluctant to be a victim of a fraud etc. Any insight, opinions on this? Any way for me to make the move on it and still protect my investment? Thanks
