Continuous Ink Supply System (pre-purchase question)
Feb 4, 2009

I am nearing the end of my first set of cartridges on my Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer, and am very seriously considering going the 'Continuous Ink Supply System' route. From almost all accounts that I have been able to peruse, this system does not seem to suffer the same problems that were encountered when some users had their printer manufacturer's cartridges refilled. So, I am kinda sold on getting such a system.

I don't have the means by which to spend a LOT of money on such a setup, and I did happen to find two sites which offered units that my pocket could handle. I know that some of you are owners of CIS systems, and I am hoping that you have either had favorable dealings with these folk - or have heard positive things about them & their offerings. Following, are links to the two site locations:

http://www.echostore.com/continuous-ink-1400.html
http://kysonusa.eznet.biz/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1

The one outlet has an Epson 1400 CIS system for $60+ INCLUDING filled ink tanks.

The other place has their Epson 1400 system for $70+/ with another $59 for the ink.

It would mean a whole lot to me, if someone - who might have some helpful information on this issue - might impart some input.

Advanced thanks.
