Silly question
Feb 2, 2009

I'm about to enter the DSLR world, so if you are kind enough to answer to this post please take in count I'm less than a newbie.

There are a couple of kits at e-bay (talking about the 450D) coming with 28-80 and 75-300 AF lenses. However, none of them have IS. Would this be an important issue? Would you take it? (for less than $800) or would you go for at least one IS lens?

I want the camera to change my SD700 Canon.
Would use it mainly for daughter portraits and indoor/outdoor pics.

Would you go for an IS lens just from the beggining?

Thank you in advance
